About Perennial Value
Perennial Value is a privately owned boutique fund manager specialising in investing in Australian equities. Perennial’s history dates back to January 2000, when John Murray established Perennial Value.
For more than 20 years, the Perennial name has become synonymous with investment excellence, earning the trust of our clients, as a reliable investor able to generate strong investment returns over time. Over this period Perennial Value has won a number of prestigious industry awards and accolades and in 2014 John Murray was inducted into the Australian Funds Management Hall of Fame.

Perennial Partners was established in 2016 to provide our investment partners with strategic, operational and distribution expertise, while allowing them to focus on managing money.
Perennial Value, alongside Daintree Capital, Fairlight Asset Management, Perennial Better Future, Perennial Smaller Companies, Perennial Private Investments and Perennial Solutions Group are some of Perennial Partner’s boutique investment firms.

Active investment management
We believe that investment markets are not fully efficient, causing asset prices to deviate from ‘fair value’. Through careful research of investment fundamentals and the application of a disciplined investment process, market inefficiencies can be identified and exploited by experienced investment professionals applying an active investment approach.
Long term investing
All of our portfolios are positioned for long-term investment performance outcomes. Our objective is to add value over the medium to long term, relative to a recognised market benchmark, in a risk efficient manner. Many of our capabilities have a proven and consistent long-term track record, with good results relative to our peers.
Independent research
Key to our investment processes is proprietary, in-house research. We conduct independent firsthand research on all securities before their inclusion in our investment portfolios.
Meet our Directors
Anthony Patterson – Executive Director

Anthony Patterson has over thirty years experience in the investment management industry. He started with Perennial Investment Partners in April 2000 as Head of Sales and Marketing and was promoted to Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer in May 2003. During his period as CEO, Perennial became Australia’s largest boutique investment management firm. Anthony stood down from this position in March 2012 to focus his attention on Perennial’s largest boutique, Perennial Value, where he serves as an Executive Director.
In 2016, Perennial Partners Limited was co-founded by Anthony and John Murray. Perennial Partners joins with highly talented investment professionals to own and operate boutique investment management firms. Perennial Partners has some $8.5bn in funds under management across seven boutique investment firms.
Anthony also serves as a director of various Perennial boutiques, including Fairlight Asset Management Pty Ltd, Daintree Capital Management Pty Ltd, Perennial Value Management Limited and Perennial Private Investments Pty Ltd.
Kiera Grant – Non-Executive Director
BEc, FAICD
Kiera Grant has extensive Board and senior management experience, having spent twenty five years in financial markets. She has financial and strategic assessment knowledge, combined with corporate governance, capital markets and mergers and acquisition experience.
In addition to being a Non-Executive Director of various Perennial Group companies, including Daintree Capital Management Pty Ltd and Perennial Value Small Companies Pty Ltd, Kiera is a Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed companies, Adairs Limited and Future Generation Global Investment Company Limited, where she is also Chair of the Investment Committee. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Samuel Smith and Sons Pty Ltd (incorporating Yalumba Wine Co. and Negociants Fine Wine Distributors).
Kiera is Chair of the Art Gallery of New South Wales Foundation and Non-Executive Director of the Ascham Foundation and a former Non-Executive Director of Pacific Brands Limited and Sydney Dance Company.
Kiera holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
John Murray – Chairman Perennial Value

John Murray established Perennial Value in 2000 and has over thirty years experience in the investment management industry. He is one of Australia’s most respected value investors and has built a stable team of investment professionals who have consistently delivered good results for investors. Under John’s leadership, Perennial Value has evolved over time to encompass a range of well-established active management capabilities, including large, small and micro caps. Perennial Value has won a number of prestigious industry awards and accolades. In October 2014, John was inducted into the Australian Funds Management Hall of Fame.
In 2016, John co-founded Perennial Partners Limited with Anthony Patterson. Perennial Partners joins with highly talented investment professionals to own and operate boutique investment management firms. Bill Anastasopoulos – Executive Director

Bill Anastasopoulos is General Counsel and Company Secretary for the Perennial Partners Group.
In his role, Bill has responsibility for the legal, risk management, compliance and company secretarial functions across the Group. Bill has over 30 years experience in the finance industry, of which more than 20 years have been with Perennial.
As well as being the company secretary for all companies in the Group, Bill is also a director of Fairlight Asset Management Pty Ltd, a Perennial Partners boutique.
Prior to joining Perennial, Bill was the Head of Legal and Compliance at Colonial First State Investments. Bill joined Colonial from the State Bank of NSW where he was the Legal & Documentation Manager of the Treasury Division.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of NSW and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney and is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
